LESSON 8

LESSON 8. - "Good Intentions" - Part 2

I must confess I am not an expert on dog health (since I haven't had a dog of my own in 20 years), but I am re-learning with the help of my son's dog, Diezel, and your great dog companions so it was a grave learning experience for me to discover that perfectly healthy dogs are sometimes vet-prescribed heartworm medications as a preventive measure.

Why was this a "grave" learning experience?  It was because a 2-year old border collie who was having breathing problems and falling down to rest during very short (3-5 minute) exercise periods was having difficulty healing himself after a Bodytalk session.  I knew Bodytalk would help him release negative cellular memories in his body in order to begin the healing process - what I didn't know was he had been prescribed Heartguard, which contains Ivecterin, which has been  known  for decades to illicit toxicity/sensitivity to certain breeds such as collies.  Luckily, my consultation with an intuitive friend saved this animal.  She was able to determine that something was going on with the heart which led her to heartworm medication and reactions.  I asked the lady if her dog had heartworm symptoms of if it had been given heartworm meds (not really anticipating that he had since the desert is not a breeding ground for heartworm).  However, the lady frantically contacted me and told me her dog tested negative for heartworm several months ago but had been prescribed the drug due to an impending trip to New York where heartworm is a problem.  The dog had been given 5 of 6 doses of Heartguard and was supposed to receive the last dose the morning she had received my emailed question about heartworm medications.  I told her to call her vet immediately and tell them about the suspected toxicity/sensitivity of Ivecterin in the collie breed.  She called me to say she was rushing her dog to the vet and once there called me again to say the vets said they were  not aware of the heartworm issues in collies but they would flush the dog's system and they felt the damage had been caught in time and should be reversible.

This is a huge lesson for everyone to research every chemical, drug, supplement, food ingredients, etc. that is going in and around their animals (and themselves).  This was also a huge lesson for me to ask for a list of drugs, supplements, treats and food that an animal ingests BEFORE a BodyTalk session to make sure nothing will  interfere with the body's healing process.  You will The following links will educate you about heartworm and heartworm medications:

Animals are here for a reason!  They have lessons to teach and healing to complete.  They are ahead of humans in many ways:   unconditional love, forgiveness, tolerance, living in the moment and happy to just be in the "NOW".   Animals do not sweat the small stuff.  We can learn a lot by opening our eyes, ears, hearts and minds to the animals.

LESSON 1 - "Animals Can and Do Reincarnate"

A lady came to me regarding her horse.  Apparently, her horse had knocked another woman over and broken her arm.  The stables wanted the lady to put her horse down.  I conducted a BodyTalk session on the horse to release any emotional issues that might be causing the “bad” behavior then I communicated with the horse.  I was surprised to learn the horse had been a dog in a previous life.  The lady confirmed the horse did act like a dog.  She asked what kind of dog.  It wasn’t a small dog but a medium-sized dog.  She asked if it was a Dalmation.  I asked the horse and he confirmed Dalmation.  The lady gasped and said she would email a picture of her horse.

"The Horse That Reincarnated from a Dog."

I explained to the horse that he had chosen a horse’s body to be with this lady and he must behave like a horse or he would hurt people and make them afraid of him.  I asked him if he would be able to behave regally, approach people with respect and allow them to respond without charging them or nudging them and knocking them over.  He indicated he could and would.  The lady was thrilled to be able to keep her beloved horse and he was thrilled they had an understanding.  The stables personnel were amazed at the change in the horse that they had considered a danger to people.

UPDATE:  This beautiful horse ended up dying unexpectedly.  After several months, I “felt” the need to connect with the lady to check on her horse.  I was surprised to learn the horse had crossed unexpectedly two weeks earlier because he had a perforation in his intestines.  It was thought he accidentally ingested a screw or something sharp that punctured his intestines.  I tuned in to the horse and he assured me it was his time to cross.  There was a lesson in his death for the lady and he would appear to her in a dream.  For two months nothing happened and I continually assured the lady the horse was happily watching over her, around her and promised he would appear in a dream.  One day she emailed me describing the most amazing dream of her riding her beloved horse and the horse confirmed that was the dream!  Now the horse promises he will send another horse to her in approximately 4 months!  Time will tell!

LESSON 2 - "Animals Have Minds of Their Own"

A man called me regarding his dog’s itching and scratching.  I conducted a BodyTalk session on the dog and released emotional issues in the body.  I didn’t find parasites, allergies or anything in the session that might relate to the relentless itching and scratching.  Then the man told me about a flea infestation a month earlier where a pest-control man came in to “bomb” the house.  The man was sure the fleas were gone but the dog kept scratching.  I explained to the dog that the fleas were no longer there and asked her if she believed me.  I was surprised when she said, “No!”  I told her several times there were no fleas but she refused to believe me.  I explained that if she continued to scratch, the man who loved her so much was going to bring the exterminator in to bomb the house again in an effort to help her.  The dog definitely did not want to be exposed to the fumes again because they bothered her sensitive nose.  I asked her once more if the fleas were gone.  This time she responded, “Yes” and stopped the itching and scratching.

LESSON 3 - "Animals Have A Sense of Humor"

A month later, the man with the itchy/scratchy dog called and asked me if I said anything to the dog to make her mad at him.  I assured him I would never communicate anything to make her mad at him.  He told me that she used to come when he called her and sit on the couch with him but now she would ignore him, walk several steps away, sit down with her back to him and look over her shoulder at him.  She would not come to him no matter how many times he called her.  Since her body did not need a BodyTalk session (it was processing healing from the last session) I communicated with her.  I learned that she was playing a joke on him.  There was a lot of tension in the house since a troubled relative had come to live with them and she was trying to lighten the mood.  I explained to her that her joke was having the opposite effect and making the man upset.  She refused to stop unless the man acknowledged her joke.  I told the man the next time she played her joke on him, instead of getting upset he must go to her, pet her and laugh or smile and thank her for trying to lighten the mood in the house.  After his acknowledgement, the dog stopped playing her joke and started coming to him when called.

LESSON 4 - "Animals Have Valid Issues"

"Max - The Litterbox Fear."

A lady contacted me who had recently adopted a beautiful cat that had litterbox problems and was not bonding with her husband.  The cat would poop once, run out of the box and finish pooping by leaving a trail in the house.  The woman was very upset and felt the cat was doing it on purpose because he was mad at her.  Yet, she scooped faithfully and purchased the biggest litterbox she could find. She was frustrated and angry and considering returning him to the Animal Shelter.  I conducted a BodyTalk session on the cat and released some “Phobias”.  I learned when communicating with him that he had previously been kept in a small cage with a small litterbox and it was not kept clean and he had to step in his excrement.  He had developed a phobia about having excrement on his feet.  I explained to him that this woman loved him very much.  I asked him if he would be able to dig in one corner of the litterbox, turn around and go so it would roll downhill into the corner and he could cover it, if he still had to go there were four corners to work with and if he still had to go, he could stick his head out of the litterbox cover, go in the middle, turn around and cover it and then he could leave the litterbox.  The woman was happy to report two corners used the next morning and none in the house.  After explaining the reason the cat did not like men to the lady and her husband I also explained to the cat that this man loved him and would never treat him the way the previous man treated him.   I asked the cat to give the man a chance and to start by sitting by his feet and working his way up to sitting with him.  The lady was happy to report that they were bonding and the cat had not had any more “accidents”.

UPDATE:  Six months later I was surprised to learn this beautiful cat had stopped using the litterbox again.  After so much time had lapsed, attempting to backtrack on the cause was very difficult though we tried.  The cat would make an effort but relapse.  Finally, the lady had the cat put to sleep and did not tell me until a week later.  I was surprised and at the unexpected turn of events, however, this handsome cat assured me he was ready to cross.  He bore no ill will toward the lady.  It was several months later that the cat confirmed that his litter always felt "weird".  The lady sprayed some type of odor control across the litter that left the litter feeling different (even when it dried)  and the cat did not like it but was unable to convey the problem to me or the lady.  Since crossing, this cat has graciously helped me with another cat with a litterbox issue by staying with her in spirit form.  I’ve come to call on many animals that recently crossed to assist me with the more difficult cases and they are very happy to help.

LESSON 5 - "Animals Have Their Own Perspectives"

"Winky- The Bumpy-Sided Kitty."

My 13-year old female cat, Winky, taught me that animals look at things differently than people.  Several years ago, I noticed a bump on Winky’s side.  I was instantly alarmed and worried that it might be cancerous!  I had a mobile vet come to the house to give her and the rest of the cats a checkup.  Some fluid from the bump was extracted and sent to a lab for tests.  Thankfully, the results came back determining the bump to be a benign fatty cyst.

I read many testimonials regarding the miraculous cures obtained using Gary Craig’s EFT procedure (Emotional Freedom Technique – www.emofree.com).  People have written of their success in surrogate tapping on the acupuncture points on their body while setting their intent and stating affirmations for their animal’s healing.  I decided to tap for Winky.

I tapped for several weeks with no apparent changed in the size of Winky’s bump.  I was puzzled.  There was one testimonial where surrogate EFT tapping for a dog actually caused the bump to shrink and disappear before the person’s eyes.  Exasperated, I finally asked Winky if she wanted to get rid of the bump.  (I thought it detracted from her natural, sleek body and could be uncomfortable or painful.  I thought wrong!)  I was extremely surprised when Winky told me, “No – she did not want to get rid of the bump!”  I suddenly realized (silly human that I am) that I could tap and tap, however, if Winky did not consider the bump a problem, all my tapping would not shrink it.

When I asked Winky why she didn’t want to get rid of the bump.  She told me it made her feel special.  Surprised (once again) at an unexpected response, I asked how it made her feel special.  She told me she liked being called a “bumpy-sided kitty’ by my husband, Bob.  She considered it a term of endearment.  I laughed at that revelation.

I told Winky if she ever tired of being “special” to please let me know so “we” could try tapping the bump away.  So far, she has not tired of being our special “bumpy-sided kitty”.

The lesson Winky taught me:  Animals are in the moment and love and appreciate their bodies as they are – bumps and all!

LESSON 6 - "Our Good Intentions May be Harming (Even Killing) Our Animals!"

As a BodyTalk Facilitator and Animal Intuitive, I recently learned that good intentions could cause as much harm to animals as bad intentions.  In this case, it was a holistic vet whose good intentions unknowingly caused permanent lethal liver damage to an animal.

A 5-year old female kitty was presented to the holistic vet for her annual checkup.  During the examination, he noticed yeast in her ears, which looked like dark earwax.  He applied a homeopathic ear wash solution that contained approximately ONE DROP of tea tree oil in dilution oil and sent home a bottle of ear wash solution to be applied one to two times a week.  However, the kitty’s person only applied it once a month.

Over the course of the next seven months, the kitty’s health began to deteriorate with symptoms of licking concrete, scratching her ears, biting her paws, general discomfort and agitation, along with occasional hiding, loss of vitality and zeal for life.  Her quality of life gradually diminished.  She slept more than normal and seemed depressed.  I was asked to do BodyTalk sessions on her and they would help her rebound.  Blood tests would come back normal.  It wasn’t until the cat “turned yellow” in her skin, ears, eyes and gums and threw up yellow bile that the severity of the toxicity was understood.  Through a series of deductions, I was able to confirm the lady’s suspicion that the source of the toxin was the tea tree oil.  The vet immediately applied an antidote to counteract the toxin but it was too late.  The kitty helped us learn a valuable lesson about good intentions.  The tea tree oil prescribed by a loving, caring holistic vet was slowly poisoning the kitty and making it impossible for the BodyTalk sessions to aid the kitty’s body in healing itself.

Instead, the last two BodyTalk sessions actually helped the animal transition easier.  She had a definite purpose.  She wanted to stay (in spite of her failing body) to make sure we discovered what was poisoning her so we could relay it to the holistic vet.  In this way, he would stop prescribing tea tree oil and he and I could warn other animal lovers about the toxicity.

The cat relayed this message specifically:

“Just because a product is holistic, organic or all-natural does not make it safe - every body is unique!”

(Likewise, we are all becoming very aware that prescription drugs can be dangerous and have life-altering side-effects too – just read the package inserts and pay attention to all the class-action lawsuits on the television!!)

LESSON 7.  "SLOW - Animals Crossing!!"

Lately young animals have been coming to me with serious health issues.  So often in these cases, the animal believes it has served its purpose or is teaching a lesson with its early crossing.  BodyTalk has helped these little angels to release negative cell memories from their bodies, minds and spirits and enabled them to transition easier and their people to handle the loss with acceptance and understanding instead of overwhelming heartbreak and grief.

I have to caution people that the animal may rebound or it  may decide to cross once these releases occur.  In every case where an animal is ready to cross, the animal is already out of body or going in and out of their bodies to check things out on the Other Side.  The animals assure me when they are out of body that they are not feeling any aches or pains that their bodies might be experiencing or exhibiting.  They are above it – which is a blessing and relief in itself.  They take an observant position and watch as their failing bodies go through the paces until death occurs.  You might relate it to a human experiencing an out-of-body experience while on the operating table and observing what is going on around the body and what is  being said in the operating room without feeling anything.  It’s no wonder the animals look upon the dying process and shedding their bodies as little more than changing a worn-out suit of clothes.    They can choose to come back in a brand new body, different sex or even a brand new form/species.

Animals are advanced souls with lessons to teach.  The dying process is one lesson that’s coming to the forefront.  The animals are congregating around us in spirit.  They want to help us and be with us as we are undergoing some amazing transformations. The young animals especially are crossing to help their people develop their intuition.  More people are coming to me who are intuitive but don’t know how to develop their abilities.  Trust is key!  You must trust what you are receiving – whether it’s a random thought from an animal, a premonition, a feeling, etc.   Please don’t shrug off your intuition as “it must be my imagination”.  People - it’s time to wake up!

FLEA SEASON IS UPON US!

Healthy animals are less likely to be plagued by fleas, mites, ticks, etc.  We don't have a flea problem in Nevada so I can not make personal recommendations based upon my experience.  I will pass on a few recommendations from others.

CATNIP!  Tis' the season to give your cats plenty of catnip to ingest and roll in.  I am told the scent of catnip may deter fleas on cats.

STRENGTHEN IMMUNE SYSTEMS!

Transfer Factor Collustrum may be beneficial.

FLEA COMBS!

Be careful of flea shampoos and products that you bathe, spray or rub on your animals.  If the product indicates it is "toxic" to humans and to wash your hands thoroughly, etc. it is also toxic to your animal's skin too!  Instead - try using a flea comb daily to remove as many of the fleas as possible.  Be diligent!

EDUCATION!

Research on the internet for alternative, natural, non-toxic flea options.  Be careful of essential oils that are supposed to be ingested, put on  a cat's body and used around cats. They are very sensitive and essential oils should not be used in their ears, on their fur/skin or on their bodies.  READ INGREDIENTS!!!  Make sure there is adequate space so the cat or other animals are able to leave the area if the essential oil scents bother them.

BLESSINGS!

Consider blessing products and foods.....ask that only the beneficial ingredients are ingested and anything harmful passes through the animal's systems.

"Simple Green" Toxic to a Cat

Just when I thought I'd had enough "toxicity" in my life - along comes another cat who has been pulling fur off the base of her tail and her belly.  Sure enough, muscle-testing indicates "toxins".

I asked the lady what cleaning products she used.  No "pine" products.  "I use Simple Green," she told me.  "It's supposed to be natural and says so on the label!"  No longer trusting the "All Natural" proclamation on any product, I asked for the ingredients and searched the internet.

Simple Green uses a "glycol" derivative similar to something used in antifreeze!  Surely, every animal lover and veterinarian in America knows about antifreeze poisoning these days?   Apparently, these companies know too but think changing the chemical to a different form of the poisonous chemical will be more acceptable to animals and humans.  Not so in this case.

Pine Sol Toxic to Some Animals

I had a client two years ago who had a dog that suddenly broke out with rashes/hot spots on his body and hair-loss.  The dog also had a seizure and developed a cough.  The BodyTalk session revealed "toxins".  When I mentioned "toxins" the lady asked if the dog might be reacting to Pine Sol.  Muscle-testing indicated it was definitely reacting adversely to the Pine Sol used on the floors.

She asked me to do another session on her other dog and "toxins" came up in his session too.  Muscle-testing also confirmed Pine Sol as toxic for this dog.

Antibiotic Change Kills A Ginger Kitten

Another animal communicator friend of mine was recently fostering several kittens.  The youngest was sickly and required constant attention.  All the kittens were taking antibiotics.  The frail kitten had started to rebound under her loving care and attention when the animal shelter required the kittens be returned to their facility.

When my friend returned the kittens she explained that the frail kitten was improving with her constant care.  The shelter decided to change the antibiotic that was given to the kittens even when my friend expressed concern about doing so with the frail kitten who was starting to thrive on the current antibiotic.  The shelter staff felt the kittens had to be on the same antibiotic and changed them all to the new one against my friend's better judgement and questioning.

My friend also begged the shelter staff to keep the frail kitten in a warm cage with the other kittens.  Instead they put the little kitten in a cage by itself with a hot water bottle under the cage and little to no attention.  The little kitten started vomiting and had diahrea after receiving the new antibiotic and died.

My friend feels responsible and guilty for not listening to her intuition about the antibiotic change, even though she was helpless to do anything about it since she had no authority to go against the actions of the shelter personnel.

Ask yourself how you would feel in similar circumstances and what would you have done in a case like this?

Pine Litter Toxic to Sensitive Cats

I recently tried a new Pine Litter (Feline Pine Scoopable Litter) by mixing it in with my cats' old litter (I have 7 cats).  One cat started urinating outside of the litterbox but could not tell me that it was because of the pine litter.  I didn't get the connection right away.

It wasn't until a few weeks later when I noticed another cat had been chewing the fur off the base of her tail.  I checked on the internet and learned that fur-chewing on the base of the tail is an indication of an allergy or toxicity in the body.  I still did not connect the fur-chewing behavior to the pine litter.  I did a bodytalk session on the fur-chewer and "toxins" showed up in the bodytalk session.  I spent a great deal of time muscle-testing cleaning products, food, aerosols, herbs and medications in my house to try to find the offending product.  Tired and frustrated, I decided to sleep on it.  I woke up and my first thought was "pine litter".  I muscle-tested and received a confirmation.  I immediately cleaned out all the litterboxes and replaced the pine litter.  I thanked my cats for "finally" getting the message across to me and explained to them that they now had different litter in the boxes.  All three animals' behaviors have improved as they are healing.

A week later I talked to a fellow animal communicator who was having a problem with one of her cats not using the litterbox.  She was using Pine Litter pellets.  I confirmed with her cat that it also did not like the pine litter pellets.

I called the Feline Pine Litter Company to notify them of this problem.  The Customer Service individual was somewhat defensive about the product and volunteered that "the pine oil was extracted from this product".  This leads me to believe the company knows that pine oils may be toxic.  I followed up with an email to the company because I couldn't be sure the "defensive" individual would pass the information on as she stated she would and asked that a warning label be placed on their pine products regarding allergic reactions in sensitive animals.

On the other hand, I use their pine litter pellets for my mice and they have not shown an allergic reaction (so far).  I received an email response from a Manager that my concerns were being taken seriously and would be passed on to their Research Department.  I replied that I would be contacting as many Animal Product companies as possible about putting warning labels on their products.

Itching & Scratching Cases

Relentless scratching and itching cases come up more frequently.  In many cases, it is from food allergies or environmental intolerances.  Recently animals and humans have seen a resurgence of fungal infections such as ringworm.  In cases where the itching and scratching does not subside after veterinary intervention/assistance with antibiotics, perhaps a fungal infection should be looked at by the veterinarian.  BodyTalk sometimes specifies the issue affecting the body (such as fungal versus bacterial, etc.) - other times it can help the body work on resolving it without specifically identifying the reason.

FYI - ENERGETIC SHIFTING

Many of us have noticed "changes" in the way we feel and the way the animals are responding - you may have noticed too.  I call it "energetic shifting" and it can manifest indiscriminately and intermittently affecting our health, motivation and causing confusion.

The animals are also reacting to the energy shifts occurring everywhere on Earth.  Products (even natural ones) are suddenly becoming intolerable even toxic  to our (and their) delicate systems.

It appears that during these times of energetic shifts that "Less is More!"  Please give the body opportunities to energetically shift and heal on its own.  (As annoying as it may be - it truly is the body's way of working through things toward better health).

Every human and animal has lifetimes of trauma and stress that our bodies want and need to address.  Doing the same things and using the same items over and over again to mask symptoms prevents and inhibits the body's ability to heal.  If you see the reverse occurring and your animal appears to weaken or get sicker instead of improving please listen to your intution and do what you "feel" is right for your animal.

The bottom line and Lesson Learned is to:   "Listen to your body and your animal friend's body!"

If you "feel" that something is not right or something that used to work is no longer working - then, please, LISTEN to your intuition and your body and pay attention to your animals reactions/behaviors.  You do not have to be an animal communicator to see the signs:  hot spots, relentless scratching, itching, barking, chewing off fur, refusing certain foods, avoiding the the litterbox, running away, nipping, growling, vomiting, lethargy, coughing, gagging,  choking,  hiding or fighting against medications, shampoo products supplements and/or new foods or cleaning products for no reason.  They are trying to convey the item may no longer benefit them and may actually be harming them, even killing them.

In my opinion and experience, many veterinarians, holistic or mainstream, mean well but they do not know your animal personally like you do.  Any veterinarian who truly cares about your animals will respect your "feelings" and decisions regarding your animal friends so do not be afraid to trust your instincts and voice your concerns!

If your veterinarian does not take your concerns seriously, it never hurts to seek a second opinion from another veterinarian who may be more considerate of your feelings and more compassionate toward your animal.

PLEASE CHECK ALL INGREDIENTS!

If a product doesn't list it's ingredients be sure to call the company and ASK what ingredients are being used.  You may  save a life or unnecessary suffering by checking the ingredients for toxicity on the internet.

Please take the time to NOTIFY companies if your animal is sensitive to their products and request warning labels so it can save other animals needless pain and suffering.

I cannot stress strongly enough to pay attention to your animal's behavior.  If they suddenly exhibit behavioral problems, strange symptoms, etc. think back to when the behavior/symptoms began to identify the offending product or item is that is affecting your animal.  A little diligence and detective work on your part may save your animal a lot of needless pain and suffering. The internet is such a quick and valuable resource.

MAIN LESSON LEARNED:

"LISTEN TO YOUR BODY AND YOUR ANIMALS' BODIES!!!"
